This is about my yoga journey. It began before I took my first yoga class. I had to go through surgery on my shoulder after an accident during a football (soccer) game. First thing in rehab was to regain range of motion. It was this desire to gain back flexibility that got me open to trying out yoga. The rest, I should say, is history.... but it is really only the beginning.

Testing Video Upload
Sorry. Just got to try uploading a video - to make the blogging experience complete. Also chance for me to see myself in action. Haha - now I can see how stiff I am - my version of upward dog is basically a plank with my head tilted back!
I noticed you jumped through without crossing your legs...why is that? I imagined it's a bit harder, but probably better in the long run to even you out??
Actually, I do cross my legs. A teacher got me to alternate which leg goes in front between asanas - although I lose track of which leg should cross over when I'm exhausted!!
Ohh it didn't look like you crossed. Yah, I cross my legs both ways, if I'm doing my right side in an asana, I'll cross over with the right and if I do the left side, I cross with the left - I'm now working on jumping back and crossing my left leg in front. This is a lot harder, I'm in great need of strength. Thanks for sharing the video.

love jump backs like this, you seem to go almost into slow motion defying the laws of gravity. Very Cool.
Thanks! Your blog and your progress is really inspiring. It is a model of dedication and contemplation to the practice. Keep it up!
