This is about my yoga journey. It began before I took my first yoga class. I had to go through surgery on my shoulder after an accident during a football (soccer) game. First thing in rehab was to regain range of motion. It was this desire to gain back flexibility that got me open to trying out yoga. The rest, I should say, is history.... but it is really only the beginning.

Third Practice - 2 Sept
Already third practice, and already settled in the daily routine of waking up early. No noticing of mosquitoes during practice, but they are still around during savasana. Obviously, yesterday's slap to the ear had done me more harm than them.
Bound again on both sides - of course, with a great deal of help from Saraswathi. I wonder how is it she is always in my vicinity when I reach Marichyasana D. Could she be planning her routes when there is a quiet period? Amazing. The shala is so big and packed with practitioners.
Led class tomorrow as Friday is moonday. Am looking forward to it.

Surprised the mosquitoes can land on you after your description of the sweat! Is it hotter than last year? What is breakfast like at your hotel? Will let the kids read your blog tonite - I'm writing this at work. Binding both sides in Mari D is great - soon you'll be doing it on your own. Loves.
It is slightly warmer than last year. Well, the main difference is this year I'm practicing in a packed shala. Last year, I practiced only with Saraswathi's students - around 20? - give or take.
Breakfast is nice! And it's at the rooftop. The coffee is so nice that I'm tempted to have a 3rd helping but didn't, just in case I would seem rude!
I'm still quite far from doing it on my own. Saraswathi is doing a lot of work! Even so, she always smiled back. Mysore moment!
Have the 3rd cup - may make you bind on your own... Coffee is the only thing that keeps me awake throughout the early mornings. Found the masseuse yet that helps you with specific poses? Think they are called yoga sisters or something like that. Signing off.
are you looking for Harini of 3 sisters for massage??
if so, i can give you her phone number~
Hi Tracy. That would be great, thanks! My email is earnchin(at)gmail(dot)com. Or you could post it here.
Does the massage actually help with the asanas? If so, I'm tempted to try, especially since tomorrow is moonday and Saturday is rest day.
she is a miracle worker....
just go and see for yourself!
her number is 252-2788
you will be in Heaven when you are done!
Thank you very much, Tracy!
